environmental scientist. a state government job in which i inspect facilities to make sure they are complying with their air permits. respond to chemical accidents and emergencies providing air monitoring. investigate citizen complaints. kind of fun, but not much money, since it is a gov job. more money in consulting in the private sector, but extremely boring.....mostly reading regulations and writing permits all day. I would never do it. I'm actually looking for a new profession.....thinking about becoming a commercial pilot. Ryan

Well i'm a 16 year old professional burger flipper currently employed by hardee's it offers horrible pay, you burn yourself all the time, it just really sucks. Hope to move up in the world by joining the McDonald's Team, their starting pay is a dollar more an hour than what I make now.

I'm 17 and I'm going into my last year of high school. I intend to get my degree in mechanical engineering. As far as future goals go, I would like to be something like a crew chief working for NASCAR, I dunno, just a thought.

Chew Posted on 2000-07-04 at 14:44:03
Currently I go to University in Canada, I work for Wal-Mart, and believe it or not for DaimlerChrysler. Everyone at work thinks I'm a jackass for not driving a Chrysler, but no one can touch me with their Talons!!!

adamk Posted on 2000-07-08 at 16:05:36
I'm studying to be a mechanical engineer at WPI. Currently I work-study at C.H.S.L.T. (Center for Holographic Studies and Laser micromechaTronics) designing mechanical and optical components to our laser systems. And I still work part time, at the first job I ever had, at Wachusett ski area doing building maintenance. They are like a really nice family there, and I don't want to leave that, plus I get free skiing.

I was a banker, then I was a credit officer, then I was a securities trader on Bay St., and then I got scared. Quit my job, sold my CBR600, bought a purple 94 GT, and decided to move back home and go to university. I like doing things the wrong way.

I am a 67-year-old nasal hair stylist on the rise in Four Corners, New Mexico. I drive a VW thing, and generally aver from stepping out of line. It is this here, this stasis of probehood, proboscity, that I yearn to explore, to probe, so to speak.

pullmyfinger Posted on 2001-10-30 at 23:15:52
You guys are all screwed. My Camaro would absolutely dry &#*@ every one of your Probes. Come to think of it, i'd dry &#*@ each of your probes with my probe. Wake up to the harsh reality that is the real world, the reality is, that if the Camaros meet chriss "sissy" simms of the car world (Probes), they'd knock those pop-up headlights back down their throats, stick a camshaft deep into their tailpipe, and send 'em back to the shop where a real "blackshirt" engine could be popped in. My Camaro is absolutely lickin' it's chops to get a hold of yor sissy Probes and show them just what kind of &%*#in' sissymobiles they really are. You guys want some of this "balckshrit" Camaro? BRING IT!!

PSUFAN Posted on 2001-10-30 at 23:24:52
yo yo , do you sing for da Dead Milkmen? "BITCHIN' Camaro Bitchin' CamaroI ran over my neighbors"... Actually, I drive an El Camino, and run weed for the hombre...que?

88 Buckeye Grad??? You are a graduate of ohio state and work security at Wal-Mart??? Shows the value of a 'good' education these days. I myself have a graduate degree form UT in Austin, what a worthless piece of paper that turned out to be also. Waverly??? hey are you the addict I send a monthly supply of fresh panties to????

the seer Posted on 2001-11-01 at 17:10:08
Obviously, there are some stupit people that have been posting on our board that just don't get it. Until they can feel the rush of adrenalin, the confidence, the feeling of finally "making it", etc., that comes from cruisin the hot parts of town in a Probe, they just won't understand. My best friend just bought one too. The only modification we made was to add an accent over the e in probe; as to alter the pronounciation to "probay". You will find my probe' proudly parked in the employee of the month stall Ross Dress For Less. Asst. Mgr. We are probeowners and proud of it!

88BuckeyeGrad Posted on 2001-11-01 at 20:46:19

Working on my degree in International Marketing Management with Wireless Software as well as a Divisional Sales Associate at the Bon Marche/Macys/Bloomingdales. BTW Camaros aren't something to be all excited about. A few of my friends have them and I would NEVER buy one, probes are cheaper and much better looking.

Why don't you and the rest of you malcontents leave us probe fans alone!!! I've got my probe tricked out with a blower and aluminum headers. It will kick the dog snot out of your Camaro and runs 1/4 mile in the mid 12s. By the way, I'm a sports editor for a national sports publication. (One of ten)

Eventually, i hope to do conceptual design for either video games or movies, preferably something along the lines of Star Wars (ie, lucasfilm, lucasarts, etc). I am such a geek. ~Meghan

stang99x Posted on 2002-12-13 at 20:43:22
Well, most people hate to hear what I do because of my age and stature but here it goes. I am 23, and manage a carwash/detail/lube center that my dad owns. I went to Georgia southern University for a short stint, majored in passing out after consuming massive quantities of beer. (Imagine that) A carwash manager is NOT what you want to be, dealing with assholes every day. Not to mention the crappy employees. But the perks are great, always have a clean car, free oil changes, and plenty of emplyees to do my bitch work like when I move in two weeks. B

Eric Posted on 2002-12-14 at 00:27:37
Stang, I was wondering something. Before you said that did you make sure none of your employees read this forum?

cat_sailing Posted on 2003-01-10 at 11:00:10
I am a 31 yo newspaper delivery driver. I love my job! I don't have to talk to anyone and I get to drive my 94 pgt all night with no other cars on the road. (except a few cops) The only bad thing is all the miles I put on the car, about 1000 a week!!! Which just turned over to 79700 last night.

PSUFAN Posted on 2003-04-22 at 13:28:58
I have since upgraded my career! I am a webcam operator for the Intramural Program at the University of Iowa! The pay is better. There are some embarrassing moments in the men's locker room, but I'm used to those. Let's just say that I don't want to see a cue ball again anytime soon! I have had to give up my probe. It seems that I never changed the oil on the sucker! No one told me you HAD to do that. I toasted that car, but it was PHAT while it lasted!

WaZhaZhe Posted on 2003-04-22 at 14:26:59
probe23061 a hostess? whoa. Better not do your clothes at the local laundromat anytime soon. ROFLMAO!!!!! give me a ring sometime. Well since we are updating our profiles, I am no longer unemployed, good for me, since I have recently turned 42. The gov't decided 20 years of paying for me to lay around on my fat butt is enough I guess, and my mother was getting sick and tired of supporting me too. So I got a job. I'm the cattle facilities maintenance supervisor at the local stockyard. It's a great job. Get to work outdoors, get some dirt on my hands, kind of smelly though. Still driving my probe all night long.

Some of you people are SOOOOOOOO gross. I am an editor for a major college newspaper and President of my Sorority. I won't say what school as I don't want some of you freaks trying to find out who I am. I didn't know THE Probe forum was about cars, or I wouldn't have checked this message board. Oh well, daddy says it is ok to interact with low-lifes if it is done from a distance. I'm getting married in June, so you weirdos can get those thoughts out of your head. I do like Probes, but I drive a 2003 Mercedes SL500. Daddy says when I get my fiancee's seed, as we still practice safe sex, and safe sex means my clothes don't come off, now I have reallllly lost my train of thought. Buck is calling so I need to go. He needs his Probe cleaned, gosh, I cant wait until I'm married.

Public accountant in Minnesota. Sounds boring, and is at times, but it is pretty cool being I have to work long, unhealthy hours when the weather isn't nice, and get tones of time off in the summer to do whatever. I don't think it is a bad trade off.

i'm a pizza delivery driver. the shitty part of it is that i put on about 1,000 miles a week on my 94 PGT. the pay is alright, but the tips aref-in awesome. the job is pretty laid back. i don't have to dress up or anything and i get to eat whenever its slow. a good part would be meeting so pretty hot looking girls and moms! hell yea. if u think about it i make about as much a year as someone who went to college for some boring desk job. i'm also 20 yo and work this decent job about 7 days a week at night hours...and i go to a college thats close by part time and full time.

Automotive Parts Counterperson (5 years +). I will say that when I had problems with my '90 Probe, this site was very helpful. Glad I finally decided to join.

Just to update my job. I now test probes out on other people. I usually use a plunger.

I'm a pharmacist and addicted to Guitar Hero II for the 360. I'm also a nut for Del Taco's shredded beef buritos. Those things are awsome. These buritos are scheduled to be discontinued. We need to unite and make sure DelTaco knows they must become a permanent part of their menu. thanks
